500 Series Controllers

The IDtech 500 Series is our latest generation of access controllers. Designed not just to meet today's security demands, but to anticipate tomorrow's.

Built around a high-performance processor and a modular architecture, the 500 Series delivers significantly faster decision-making, larger cardholder capacity, and the ability to incorporate new technologies and functionalities as they emerge - without replacing the infrastructure already in place.

Cybersecurity is built in at every level.

The 500 Series supports the SSCP and OSDP protocols, transparent mode, SAM module-based key storage, and key diversification.

With end-to-end encrypted firmware and NAC 802.1x network security with automated certificate renewal. Firmware updates are faster, easier, and more secure than ever.

IP Controller

RAU502, RAU504

The RAU (502 or 504) is IDtech’s 5th-generation autonomous access control unit, designed to independently manage up to 2 or 4 readers. Equipped with enhanced memory capacity and an optimized processor, the controller continues to handle access control and alarm management (door opening, barriers, etc.) even in the event of a server disconnection.

Designed in compliance with the latest industry standards, the RAU ensures fast and secure communication with both readers (OSDP and SSCP) and the Unipass access management software (AES128 or TLS 1.2). It easily adapts to evolving access control requirements thanks to its ability to receive remote configuration changes and firmware updates.

The RAU supports most current identification technologies, all readers supplied by IDtech, and a wide range of specialized readers, including QR code, biometric, license plate recognition, and long-range readers. It is compatible with IDtech’s entire software portfolio and supports the use of a SAM card for transparent mode.

The RAU is also available in a pre-wired version, supplied with its 2DIN main enclosure, an IPS-100 power supply, and an integrated 12V backup battery.

Master Controller

Master Controller

MC504, MC510, MC516

The MC504/510/516, IDtech’s 5th-generation Master Controller (MC), is designed to act as the central link between the Unipass access management software and the local controllers (LAUs), making it a key component of access control systems. Equipped with enhanced memory capacity and an optimized processor, this state-of-the-art autonomous controller continues to operate even in the event of a server disconnection.

The MC504 can manage up to 4 local LAU controllers (400 or 500 series), the MC510 can manage up to 10 local LAU controllers, and the MC516 can manage up to 16 local LAU controllers.

The MC has been specifically designed to keep pace with the ever-evolving and demanding requirements of modern access control systems. Firmware updates and configuration changes can be performed remotely through a secure web interface. To meet increasing security requirements, it supports encrypted communication with the server using AES and TLS protocols.

The Master Controller supports the NAC 802.1X network access control protocol and integrates the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) to simplify and automate digital certificate management. With this functionality, MC controllers can automatically request and renew certificates from a Certification Authority (CA). This automation reduces the risk of service disruptions caused by expired certificates and ensures continuous security without manual intervention.

The MC is also available in a pre-wired version, supplied with its main enclosure, an IPS-100 power supply, and space for a 12V backup battery. The enclosure is designed to accommodate additional LAU controllers as required.

An optional slave enclosure is also available, capable of housing up to 4 LAU controllers. This enclosure includes an IPS-100 power supply and can also accommodate a 12V backup battery.

Local Controller

Local Controller

LAU500

The LAU500, IDtech’s 5th-generation local access control unit, serves as the crucial interface between the IDtech Master Controller and various door peripherals, including readers, push buttons, locking devices, and other access control equipment. It can manage up to two readers, allowing control of either one door with entry and exit or two entry-only doors.

Designed to ensure secure and reliable communications, the LAU500 features end-to-end encryption to protect data throughout transmission. It supports the latest communication protocols (OSDP and SSCP) as well as most current identification technologies. Through the Master Controller (MC), firmware updates and configuration changes can be performed remotely, allowing the system to easily adapt to evolving access control requirements. The LAU500 also supports the use of a SAM card for secure and transparent mode.

The LAU500 is compatible with all identification readers supplied by IDtech, as well as a wide range of specialized devices, including QR code readers, biometric readers, license plate recognition systems, and long-range readers. It is fully compatible with the entire range of IDtech controllers and seamlessly integrated into the IDtech software suite.

The LAU500 is also available in a pre-wired version, supplied in either a 2DIN or 3DIN enclosure. The 3DIN version includes an IPS-100 power supply and can accommodate a 12V backup battery.

The enclosure is equipped with one or two 18M DIN rails as well as a 10M DIN rail. The 18 mm mounting offset of the 18M rails allows cables to be routed beneath the enclosure, simplifying installation and cable management.

Its internal layout has been optimized to provide ample space for additional modules and accessories. The enclosure includes a key-operated lock, an easily accessible fuse holder, and a dedicated opening for the 230V power supply input.

Input/Output Controller

Input/Output Controller

I/O584

The IDtech I/O module is an extension that provides an extra 8 analog/digital inputs and 4 relay outputs for IDtech door controllers of the 5th generation when connections to more input/output modules are required.

This I/O module is available in metal housing and for DIN rail mounting. It should always be used in combination with an IDtech controller of the 4th or 5th generation. Communication between the module and the controller is encrypted, ensuring secure data transmission.
