Unfortunately, some equipment and/or access points are obviously unsuited to on-line access control systems. Various vehicles, partitioned spaces, safes, maintenance equipment - these are a few examples of assets that can only be protected with keys, but what happens to these keys? Where are they stored, and how can flawless traceability be maintained? And what can be done with mobile equipment, such as telephones, GPS systems, laptops and cameras - how can all these everyday items be managed successfully?

What is ProxSafe?

Depending on the model you choose, this electronic key cabinet can protect (store) up to 128 key-rings or valuable items.

Everything is protected behind a very strong automatic roller blind, guaranteeing protection against unauthorised access (CRF: 30 newtons). Each item is solidly attached to an electronic keytag. This is inserted into a cylinder, where its code is read via contactless electronic identification (RFID technology). Naturally, each tag is protected by a tamper-proof single-use seal.

The cabinet is operated via a user terminal. The terminal identifies the user and verifies his key allocations. The cabinet also has its own battery so that it can remain operational in case of power failure. In an emergency, a special key can be used to open the shutter manually. In addition, an alarm contact controlled by our Uniguard solution prevents the system being removed or dismantled.
