Uniguard: an integrated access control/CCTV platform
The responsibilities of building management and surveillance are growing more and more complex, and now require many techniques covering a wide range of functions such as access control, parking management, intrusion and fire detection and video surveillance.
When all these techniques are in place, an efficient, accessible and reliable convergence platform is essential.
Video integration
In this context, the alarm supervision solution Uniguard can be extended to include video surveillance management. IDtech offers an interface for third-party digital video recorders (DVR). This enables users to check and view live or recorded images directly from Uniguard alarm management workstations.
Uniguard/DVR integration makes it possible to:
- Manage camera switching and positioning based on dynamic plans;
- View live images or images recorded in the past;
- View video sequences linked to alarms;
- Trigger recording on the basis of alarms or events;
- Generate alarms based on analyzing video images or on loss of signal;
- View "buffered" images, showing the action before the alarm;
- Modify recording parameters depending on the presence or absence of alarms or events;
- Associate alarm events with video sequences on one or more synchronized cameras;
- Select switching cycles in the images to be sent to monitors;
- Check events visually;
- Control the interaction between alarms and dome positioning;
- Record and view information (camera, date and time) in the database following an alarm;
